’m Mahdi “Mad Man” Khene, cartoonist, writer, publisher, and founder of Zuperhero Comics.

Zuperhero Comics started the way a lot of things do… by accidnet! You see, I started out as a musician but during Covid, when everything shut down, all my gigs just up and vanished! Finding myself being a barista again with no avenue to express myself I serendipitously decided to make my own superhero.

Well… fast forward and it looks like I never put down the pencil! That turned into a whole universe. Now it’s an ongoing system of stories, past, present, future, like an alternate history where Zuperhero Comics has been publishing since the 1950s.

At the end of the day, Zuperhero Comics is independent comics the way I see it: fast, connected, a little chaotic, a little meta, and always evolving. I’m building something that feels alive and like it’s been around forever but is still being made in real time.

That’s what it is!
